‘Stimulate’
Friday afternoon introductions and presentations event. This was an opportunity to listen to some inspirational speakers who set the scene for the weekend’s activities, provided the backdrop for the CityCamp movement and presented some case studies of what other CityCamps have achieved. There was an opportunity to explore the university building used over the weekend, meet up and discuss pitch ideas and join us for nibbles and a drink afterwards.

‘Participate’
The day started with coffee before we gathered for introductions and pitching.  A matrix of topics and breakout rooms was created. The rest of the day was spent discussing the topics raised with a break for lunch. We ended at around 5pm when we briefly re-capped all the discussions.

Are people welcome to attend CityCamp and not pitch, but listen to others in case there’s potential to assist/link-up with other pitches? Or does that contradict the point of the whole event? Sorry… I’m new to this!

This is fine Chris. This is what the event is all about. I’ll put up a blog post later about that subject just to reinforce that. Look forward to seeing you there. David.

      Hi Ben,
Thanks for the question. We’ve got a meeting tomorrow to confirm the schedule timings for both the Friday and Saturday. I’ll post it up on the site tomorrow evening. However at the moment, we’re looking to arrive at 9.30am for a 10am start on Saturday and we’ll probably finish around 5pm. I hope that helps. David
